ABOUT
Jonathan Hirschfeld is an Israeli artist. Born 1979 in Jerusalem. He has a 2004 BFA, from Bezalel Academy of Arts & Design, Jerusalem and a 2011 MFA, from the Interdisciplinary program in Arts, Tel Aviv University.
In His paintings and drawings he uses world mythologies to evoke and to express personal, political and artistical ideas. His work maintains a close relationship to early Israeli modernist traditions. His unique approach to modernism places him in the heart of contemporary discourses.
